Overview

Standard USB chargers and AC adapters generate 60Hz electric fields that transfer onto connected devices and cables during charging. The Basic Grounded Charger addresses this by providing a grounded DC power path for USB-charged devices, along with grounded AC pass-through outlets.

Function

• Drains induced voltage from USB charging cables to ground
• Reduces 60Hz electric field exposure at the charging cable and connected device
• Provides 3 grounded AC outlets (NEMA 5-15R)
• Provides 3 grounded USB output ports (5V)
• Shared output rated at 12 watts total across all USB ports

Intended Use

This unit is designed for low-power charging applications — phones, tablets, headlamps, and other 5V USB devices. Because output is shared across ports at 12W total, charging speed is slower than standard high-wattage chargers. This is expected behavior for a grounded, EF-reduced charging path, not a defect.
