Swiss Shield® Ultima™ RF Shielding Fabric – Sold by the Foot

Swiss Shield Ultima is a premium natural cotton fabric that reduces radio-frequency (RF) radiation from cell towers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cordless phones, and other wireless devices. It is the densest of Swiss Shield's decorative fabrics, so it offers the highest shielding in the line while staying light, sheer, and soft enough to work like any fine curtain fabric.

The fabric's secret is a hair-thin silvered copper thread spun into each cotton fiber. Every thread is individually insulated, so there is no exposed metal on the surface. That means nothing can rub off, and the fabric can be washed again and again without losing its shielding. Ultima is also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning it has been independently tested and found free of harmful substances, which is an important consideration for fabric hanging in a bedroom.

Ultima's soft off-white color and semi-sheer weave let natural light through, so it fits easily into any bedroom or living space. Use it for window curtains, wall coverings, room dividers, or as a shielding liner behind your own decorative fabric. It is designed and made in Switzerland, and its performance has been verified by independent testing institutes.

Ultima is designed to shield RF radiation. Because it is non-conductive, it is not intended to be grounded and does not shield electric or magnetic fields from household wiring.

Care
Hand wash or machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, then hang to dry. Do not tumble dry, bleach, or dry clean. If needed, iron on the lowest setting without steam. The fabric may shrink up to 3% when washed, so if you plan to wash it before or after sewing, order a little extra length to allow for it.
